Cotton Candy Burrito: A Good Idea?

Take it from a fellow desserts dweller, is there anything as too many sweets? Maybe. But is there a possibility of avoiding new sweets in a new place? Absolutely not. And perhaps this is what drove me to say yes when Aaisha asked me one fine day if I’d like to go to a new place called Loop City?

Loop City just introduced Cotton Candy Burritos here in Kathmandu. While somewhat of a thing in other countries, cotton candy burrito is fairly new here. All we see is cotton candy being sold on sticks on the street, but a cotton candy burrito gives you a good amount of cotton candy with scoops of ice cream goodness and all kinds of toppings that you’d like. Yes, they make their own cotton candy.

The place is fancy, giving you vibes of cotton candy all over. It literally feels like you’re walking inside a cotton candy with pale pink walls and baby pink furniture. They give you quite a show, making cotton candy right in front of you. The cotton candy burrito is something you’d want to try on their menu. Choose the ice cream flavor and the toppings you’d like to go for. They give you happiness swaddled in a paper, right on your palm. Cotton candy burritos are a mouth full, to say the least. It looks huge but once you dig in you’ll get straight to the ice cream with the soft melt-in-the-mouth cotton candy. The blueberry ice cream they recommended to us went well with the sweetness of the ice cream.

A must-try: Yes

Would I go for it again? No. This is a one-time thing. It is just too sweet and basically just cotton candy and ice cream for the price.
