Are you a fan of Korean hotdogs? Hungry but do not
want to spend much? Head on over the MadMunch21 for lunch. Introducing Korean
corndogs in Nepal, this stick food is different from the average sausage sticks
you get out on the streets. It's crunchy, it's yummy, it's different, and it's
fulfilling.
Korean street foods are just as popular as their Kpop
bands, their movies, or their dramas. And to be honest, they are a bit ahead
when it comes to street food with the food not only being unique and aesthetic
but equally delicious to munch on. In many instances, they’ve taken the average
food and brought it to a whole other level. You’ll find that pancakes are no
new thing, a popular breakfast food even. But the Koreans take a step further
making pancakes airy, light, and cake-like with cream and fresh fruit and
various toppings. And same is with the corndogs which actually originated in
the US. It was a different take on hotdogs with the hotdogs being coated in
cornmeal and easier to eat and munch on. But when corndogs adapted to Korea,
they gave it their own twist adding cheese to corndogs and fries to the
exterior. The results? A crunchiness and cheese pull you will rarely get in the
average corndog.
Of course, I had seen corndogs and Korean hotdogs
taking the internet by storm at one point or another. But I was rather excited
when they happened to be available in Nepal. And why wouldn’t I be? I had tried
the ones in Fryday’s and they were good. But hearing all this commotion about
Madmunch and seeing all these stories urged me to go there. It’s not that far,
in the UWTC building in Tripureshwor, they provide you an array of options from
classic corndogs to fries corndogs, half and half, full cheese corndog. The cheese
pull is immense, the corndogs crispy and these dogs are huge. I was not
expecting that size. You will be full with one dog. And for that size, the rate
seems to be justified. Yes, these Korean hotdogs are better than the corndogs
available at Fryday’s. Go on a lunch date with your friends to Madmunch21. You
will be pleasantly surprised.
