It’s here: lockdown 3.0, just when we thought things
were starting to get a tad bit normal around here. It’s back again to remind us
that it is not.
So why not have a lockdown kit ready? It doesn’t
really have to be an actual kit; just an assembly of things you could do during
the lockdown.
Here is what you could keep in your lockdown kit
A
book
Pick up that book that you’ve been meaning to read
for a while but haven’t really gotten around to doing it. Could there be a
better time? And if you ask me, you might as well take a thick one.
A
notebook of recipes
The lockdown is a time you can utilize to get
creative in the kitchen. You can try some new recipes or you can experiment to
create your own.
A
hard drive full of your favorite series
Watch a new series that you’ve heard so much about
or re-watch an old favorite series. I watched the Game of Thrones during the
first lockdown last year. So go ahead, do as your heart contents.
A
jumping rope
We cannot go for morning jogs or morning walks or
cycling but we still need to stay fit. A jumping rope is a great start; accompany
a jumping rope with light exercises.
A
journal
It is really easy to let negative thoughts sweep
over your mind during these difficult times. But you don’t have to let the dark
side win. Keep a journal; write what you are grateful for everyday and why you
need to stay positive.
A
new hobby
You can pick up a new hobby or learn something new
during this time. It can be a musical instrument, sketching or anything else. I
learnt basic embroidery during the first lockdown.
Masks
Because, really? Do I have to explain this?
Sanitizers
Keep them ready on the go.
Snacks
Do not forget to indulge in snacks every now and
then.
Let us use this time to educate ourselves and
educate others. We are all in this together.
