Weight: A Still Controversial Issue

We’ve all been there, alright.  Oh, you’ve lost so much weight since we last met! You look so good!  Or Wow, you look healthier! Somebody’s looking plump. Who hasn’t been listening to all these comments or compliments? Especially if you’re a female. They come from all around you. It’s just never good enough for everyone. You’re either too fat or too thin. And being either gets you commented on. There is just no winning.  It’s supposed to be a compliment if you’ve lost weight. I’m not saying a little on the heavier side is not good looking. I’ve seen a lot of women who are extravagantly beautiful or cute and also on the chubbier side. Hey, to each his/her own, right? But there is no denying that weight is still a controversial issue.  It’s a topic most women discuss or are frustrated about whether someone points it out at you or not. And it’s become extremely critical to know what is right and what is not when it comes to weight. It’s something most people will say, e...

Artisan Pancakes

Cafe Joshi, although established  not too long ago,  has gathered quite a hype especially with their pancakes. So one day, my bro and I decided to go for it and taste this aesthetic dish for ourselves. Situated in Maharajgunj, just opposite of Saleways Departmental store on the Main Road, Cafe Joshi should not be hard to find. The interior is simple and minimal design. Decorated with house plants, the place gives a nice vibe. That was the first thing I noticed, the house plants and the greens. They were inviting. We went for the creme brulee pancakes. The Strawberry pancakes sounded just as good but creme brulee pancakes sounded new to me. We went for it. The pancakes were a piece of art when they came. We were in awe of how pretty they looked; almost too beautiful to eat. Three stacks of pancakes, one on top of the other; fluffy as clouds and a scoop of ice cream on top. This screamed ecstasy. And that first bite, just like it; I swear. Just as light, just as f...

Dear Future Husband

So I randomly remembered this song from years ago and quite ironically the song is also called Dear Future Husband. My friend introduced it to me and for a while I couldn’t get it off my mind just like every other new song. The song was catchy and easy to remember; I’ll give it that. And at the time, it seemed to have made sense. I listened to it again today and no, it doesn’t make the sense it used to make. The song expects the husband to treat the wife like a queen; to call her beautiful every night; to cater to her every need and apologize after every fight no matter who started it. Hmmm… sounds kind of demanding. Now I love me some attention, you know that more than anyone else but I only want you to treat me like a queen if I treat you like a king. I don’t want you to apologize even when I’m the one who’s wrong. I’d rather you tell me when I’m wrong so I can work on it and I can tell you likewise. So, I made my own Dear Future Husband version: Dear Future Husband, ...

Pocky Sticks You’d Pocket

P.C : Kneadbitz Have you ever bitten into a Pocky stick and thought “Why aren’t they available in Nepal?” they’re the perfect snack. They’re not too sweet; they’re chocolatey; they’re crunchy and easy to take along wherever you go. Well now, my fellow pocky enthusiasts, you do not have to look far, for Kneadbitz have come up with their own version of pocky sticks. In fact, they’re better than pocky sticks. They’re delicious; they’re reasonable of price and have I mentioned how addictive they are? No? You can never have just one. What started off as a Christmas special with the candy cane design has taken a hit among the market as more and more people are finding these chocolate sticks worth...
