Here’s something simple and delicious you can make during this quarantine period. All it takes is a few ingredients, a microwave and 5 minutes of your time; yes, that is inclusive of preparation time!
Grab a mug or cup that is microwave safe! You can
use a ceramic one, a glass one, just do not use steel.
Keep the following ingredients at bay:
· Chocolate: during the quarantine period,
use whatever you can find. I used dairy milk; 6 pieces would do.
·
½ cup milk
·
½ teaspoon corn flour/ corn starch
·
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
·
2 tablespoons water
It doesn’t take much at all and it is simple as 1-
2- 3.
Instructions:
·
In your mug/ cup, break down the pieces
of chocolate and pour in your milk.
·
Put in microwave for about 30 seconds to
45 seconds.
·
Stir the mixture and make sure the
chocolate has melted.
·
In a separate bowl, pour in the 2
tablespoons water into the ½ teaspoon cornstarch and make sure the cornstarch
has dissolved into the water smoothly. This is going to thicken the batter.
·
Mix the cornstarch batter into the
melted chocolate and milk and mix for half a minute or so.
·
Pour in the teaspoon of vanilla essence.
·
Set the mug in the microwave and voila.
·
Garnish with fruits or whatever is
available.
My microwave is set at 1270 watts and took about a
minute. So please check your microwave and adjust accordingly.
