Cheesecake is probably still a new thing for many
people in the valley, unless you’re a dessert freak, which I hope you are
because they are delicious.
But here’s the thing, because cheesecake is still a
rare delicacy here, all places do not make good cheesecakes, I repeat, they do
not make good cheesecakes. But I’m getting ahead of myself.
Cheesecakes are of two types: baked and non-baked.
If you ask me, both kinds are heavenly. What matters most for a good slice of
cheesecake? The texture and the creaminess. It is cream cheese after all, duh! Before
we get into the good places, let me tell you where not to go for a slice of
cheesecake. The cheesecake at Baker’s den, Naxal in front of Bhatbhateni is
awful. Yeah, sorry but someone had to put it out there. I remember my friend
pointing out that cheesecake at Dhokaima café is soo good, so I went and tried
it. It felt okay then, but when I tried the good ones, it felt like a miserable
excuse for a cheesecake: sorry.
Now that the *cough not so good cheesecakes have
been mentioned, let’s brace ourselves and dig in to the good ones. If you are
craving for a good slice of baked cheesecake, go for
