Yeah
I was unfortunate enough to have tried this Dharane delicacy only a few weeks
prior. I only wish I had tried it earlier. But better late than never, right?
Sure, I’ve heard from my friends from the east how good it is, but I’ve never
been to the east of Nepal, so how was I to know, right? Until I heard about the
Jupiter tole place. I’m sure you must’ve heard about it too. It became a hit
overnight as some popular food bloggers shared about it. And I’d always been
meaning to try it, I swear. I had been putting it off because, well, I didn’t
really know the Nakhipot area and that area could be confusing. And then one
day, to my delight, my colleague decided to take me there.
I’m
not going to lie, the location is still confusing to me. But once we found the
place, I galloped over to the counter, literally! And the wait was worth it.
It’s crunchy, mildly spicy, infused with all these different flavors. There’s
crunchiness of the nimki, but the dish is not dry; blended with yogurt, it is
just something else. They actually ask you how much spiciness you want so feel
free to decide. But do try it, if you haven’t already. And try their chatpate
too!
