Loneliness Vs Solitude

Picture this: you are walking in the park with no one but your thoughts to accompany you. You look around you; take a deep breath. Would you term this as being lonely or being in solitude? The answer may surprise you. While most people, if they do not know, would use the two terms as synonyms, there is more to it than what meets the eye. Are you comfortable being in this place right here is what would answer your question. Have you ever felt out of place in a room of people?  Do not worry, we have all been there. This is loneliness. The state when not even all the people are enough for you or what you are looking for. Solitude on the other hand is that state where you are by yourself but you are perfectly fine being so. You are taking in everything, all around you. You are at peace. Of the two terms, solitude definitely sounds like the better one and one that you would like to feel. Music and Lyrics

What would be the first thing that would come to your mind when I say music or lyrics? I am willing to bet you would think about the music from the genre that you prefer. And that is normal to do so. If you have, you must know what I am talking about. I have had those turning heads too; of course my reasons are different than I could anticipate. Standing at 5 foot 9 inches, among the average Nepali girl height at 5 foot 2 inches, there is no denying I could be easily noticed.  From being a head taller than everyone else in the photo to little heartbreaks from size not available for the shoes that I liked in the store; I have faced them all. Does it sting to be asked to bend down a little bit for group photos or complete strangers comparing your height to them?  A little bit, honestly. Did it matter? It did. My mother said, when I was born, my grandmother took one look at my fingers and had said: ‘I have never seen such long fingers on a newborn’ and she was right. From my school days, I had always felt lik
