The Time I Tried Dalgona Coffee

Yes; I know it, you know it, and everybody knows it. The dalgona coffee is all we have been seeing literally everywhere on social media. What’s funny is that this is not a new thing, apparently. This trending coffee form has been around for years and years before it was used by South Korean actor Jung II Woo And then boom!

Of course, it looks attractive and that was my first impression of it. Creamy coffee; well what do you know? I suppose another reason for its massive popularity is self-quarantine period and lockdown over the world. People are trying this ‘new thing’. So I thought, why be left out? Why not see for myself what this coffee tastes like.

For my fellow friends who do not have an electric hand mixer or a frothing wand like me, hang in there! I used a whisk. It will take up a lot of your time! 25 mins did it for me. But the taste and the final outcome was worth it, I must say. It’s creamy, it’s refreshing, it’s fun, and it’s delicious!

So, if you have some time to kill, some coffee at home and a handful of curiosity to see if you can really do it. Go for it! I would definitely do it again.

I think we’ve all heard the song of Rajamati growing up. It is so popular that many people in Nepal claim this is the only Newari song that they have heard. The song was written some 200 years back. Dhana Kumari Bajracharya resides amidst the hustle and bustle in Gabahal, Patan. She is a 70 year old woman, who you would think is much younger at age, if you look at her.
