Here’s
a twist among the mushrooming restaurants and service industry in the valley.
We’ve heard about a lot of Japanese restaurants. We love our Japanese
restaurants, don’t we? And yes, some of them are exceptionally good with the
authentic taste. Take Koto or Momotarou for example. But here’s what makes Kyubi’s Kitchen
situated at Jhamiskhel different. It’s anime themed.
I
was up for Japanese food, sure, I mean, who wouldn’t be? But I was also curious
about the theme. Don’t get me wrong, I’m no big anime fan here, to be honest, I
barely watch any; I was curious because this was different take on Japanese
restaurants. What caught my attention from the moment we stepped inside were
the big art on the walls created intricately, I might add. It instantly gave
you the vibes that you were somewhere else. Kyubi’s kitchen is divided into
separate rooms, making it possible to hang out with a large group of friends.
As
if I were not excited enough from the art, what heightened the vibes were the
accessories there. The scroll menu, the drinks menu, the cushion with the
Naruto logo, the Katana sword, it is enough to blow anyone away.

Did
I mention you could choose everything? One should definitely go for the ramen
here. You know what? Make it two: that ramen bowl would be enough for two.
Besides
the ramen choices, they have a lot to offer. One of the most popular dishes
here is their set. Fit for a large group, it offers different delicacies like momos, sushi and such on one platter.
I
was also taken aback to see that the staff greeted us with our meals in
Japanese clothing; impressed to see that they were taking their theme one step
further. And the food was delicious. Even for someone who does not really watch
anime, like me, this place was more than interesting, I can only imagine, how
it would feel like for someone who watches anime, to know all those characters
on the walls, to relate to whatever the restaurant is trying to bring. So go
ahead, visit the first anime themed Japanese restaurant in Kathmandu and enjoy
the food to your heart’s content.
