A New Girl in the City of Bangalore  

  I didn’t know what to expect when I first came to Bangalore. Sure, I had heard of how it is one of the better cities of India, and how there are so many places I could go, how it is close to other places I can visit, how there is amazing food and so on. I’ll cut to the chase and say outright that all of these are, in fact, true. But, then again, I really wasn’t expecting much. And this is perhaps why setting foot here in Bangalore blew me away from the very first moment. The city is bright, big, clean and so, so green. It is gorgeous. Old Sayings and The Possible Reasons Behind Them

    This is for you if you’ve heard any of these sayings growing up, or still do. Back then, I never really thought much about it, just thought it was some things I was supposed to follow it came from my elders and they know better. But, then, it got me thinking, the possible reasons with old times that these old sayings. Do not cut nails after dark This was very common to hear growing up. I never asked the reason for more than a couple of years. I just knew that I should not cut my nails if we are nearing night time. Why SouthPark is different

  Having grown up watching a lot of cartoons myself, I have always thought that cartoons or animated series are a child’s thing. This is one of the reasons why I teased my brothers when I found them watching “The Simpsons” on TV one day. “How can you still watch cartoons when you’re this old?” was what I asked, or something like that. “This is an adult cartoon”, they smirked. Years later, I found myself watching “The Simpsons” too and then, I went on to watch SouthPark with my brothers. “You have to watch, it’s so funny” they said. I watched some episodes and I found that SouthPark was different. Yes, it has foul language and some vulgar things, which is what I had anticipated when my brothers had said that this is an “adult cartoon”. And yes, it is also funny. What I did not expect was how wholesome SouthPark could get. SouthPark can take some of the most sensitive subjects and just give you a good message and make you realize things.
